Deleting adverts on new Amazon Fire

A short time ago someone posted how to remove adverts from a new Fire tablet. But, once again, it is a post I cannot find. Can anyone help please?

I am seriously regretting buying this tablet. It seems to be more trouble than it is worth. I do hope our ten year old DGS can make it work!

My daughter has one and really likes it, We just ignore the ads, as I remember they are only on the screen when it's not in use.

What are you trying to do with it? I am sure your 10 year old GD will just want the internet, some music, games and movies? It does all those things pretty easily.

I love my fire, use it daily. The adverts are only oioin thgthge unlock screen, easy to ignored but if you are seriously bothered call amazon after Christmas, say it was a present anbd how do you get rid of the adverts and they will do it for you.

I don't know if you can remove the ads from the home screen but an "Ad Free" kindle costs more to buy. It's no big deal really, they are only there until you unlock the screen.

I've had a kindle fire for a couple of years and I love it, it's much better than my laptop
