Tourin' Over California 2017 - Day 9 Disneyland

This was definitely a day we had all been looking forward to, our first visit to Disneyland.

We walked round from the hotel to the entrance and once inside walked up Main Street and noticed how small the castle was.

We headed into Tomorrowland and rode Space Mountain first. After this we planned to ride Matterhorn but it wasn’t open yet.

Instead we kept walking and doing rides as we came to them.

Alice in Wonderland, Jungle cruise and Indy Speedway with a fastpass.

As it was our first time here we had to have 1st visits badges.

We then went to ride BTMR with our next fastpass. When we got there the wait time was short so we joined the standby line before riding it again with our fastpass.

I was trying to get a fastpass for Matterhorn but the App was very glitch. I finally got a connection and booked FP for Matterhorn.

We rode Splash Mountain and Winnie the Pooh before our Matterhorn FP. Next up was IASW which seemed strange to be boarding the boat outside.

We then had a Star Tours FP before heading to Starbucks. Megan had a brownie and Tracey and I had lemon pound cake. This was so nice that everytime after this that we went to Starbucks we had to have the lemon pound cake.

Next up was Haunted Mansion with a FP and then Pirates where we waited 25 mins, and then Roger Rabbit with FP.

Megan got some pizza and we had crisps, before riding Mr Toad, Pinocchio and then Snow White.

We watched the band in front of the castle in what was now hot sun, before riding Splash Mountain again with FP.

We watched the parade from in front of the castle, before going back to the hotel for an hour for a dip in the pool. Tracey and Megan were talking to a family from New Zealand in the hot tub.

It was then back to the park tea at Tomorrowland where Megan had kids nuggets, Tracey chicken sandwich and I had cheeseburger.

We rode Buzz with FP, Megan won and then sat on the floor for an hour to wait for electric parade. It was amazing how many children managed to squeeze in next to Tracey.

We enjoyed the parade and then followed the crowds to the front of the castle for the fireworks. We ended up with a restricted view due to trees, but enjoyed Dreams Come True fireworks even though 1 minute before the start they were unsure as to whether they would be on due to winds !

We then made our way over to near Mark Twain Riverboat to get in position for Fantasmic. It had been a few years since we have done this and we all really enjoyed the show.

After this we battled through the crowds and made our way back to the hotel.
