... and more changes have been made! Not being able to remember if our Travelodge at Heathrow (the Central location) was equipped with aircon, stopped by Trip Advisor to check:

"NO AIRCON 33 DEGREES INROOM! FLAT PILLOWS BED SPRINGS IN YOUR BACK AWFUL!�

... so that just about sealed it's fate. Having paid the not so vast sum of �20 for the pleasure, I took a decisive (unusual for me! ) decision to book elsewhere with aircon.

Step forward BA with the Premier Travel Inn T5, a bit more pricey at �54, BUT with aircon - well worth it.

So, fingers crossed, tomorrow evening we will be heading into a glorious sunset down the M6/M40 to Heathrow, and into air conditioned luxury ...

Just off to print the mountains of paperwork that a DIY trip seems to generate for us - do we really need all those Google maps/directions for each place we visit? Surely I should be investing in a Sat Nav - must be a touch of Yorkshire in me that prevents me from buying one

Good call, although looking at the forecast, it might be wellies and snorkels that you need not aircon !

We've booked the aurora for the night prior to our flight from heathrow. I never though to check if it had aircon, chances are the hot weather will be long gone by then though.
