This is a dilemma, but I have bought a bridge camera as it offers far more than the phone. Depends what you're looking for and what you're happy with, but you can take some stunning photos if have a decent camera and know how to use it!

Definitely a camera. I too have a phone that takes good quality pictures under ideal conditions but you can't beat a camera for its speed and versatility if you are going to take a lot of pictures.

We have a Nikon bridge camera that's great all round, and also a cheaper waterproof fuji camera so we can take pics on water rides/parks and at seaworld without the it getting trashed, we will be using our phones for pics too but only sparsely.

Camera. I would never rely on a phone as my main photo taking equipment!

I go slightly faint when I see people using iPads as cameras in the parks...

Always found that a little bit weird, I was in London the other day and saw loads of tourists using their iPads - must be awkward carrying it about and I never get a good pic off mine.

I am taking my iphone for pics, but using photo pass for good pictures, I only plan to pop them in a album so for me my phone quality would be fine.

I tend to just use my phone (More than good enough quality) but within our group we do have people with cameras who will also take plenty of pics.
