While shepherds watch their flocks, let’s fly to Florida, Day 14 - moving day

8th January

It’s moving day again!

We’re up at you guessed it - 7am!

Rice crispies and then the final clean which includes stripping and remaking the bed etc.

We have photographers calling round to retake photos for a website we advertise on and to check the Villa is as we say it is. There’s been lots of new things in the two years since they were here.

I’m sad we have to leave but we have Snowbirds arriving this afternoon for a 3 month stay. One day we’ll be able to stay for 3 months I hope!

We pack up and head just down the road to my friend Sandra’s Villa (the lovely Arkvilla here on the Dibb), she is very kindly putting us up for 5 nights.

As her Home is still be cleaned we put our food in the fridge and freezer and pop up to our bank, remembering our passports this time. We have to wait about half an hour to see someone but we do get Richards new card ordered an mine activated.

A trip to Publix to get a roll for lunch and head back to Sandra’s to sit by the pool to eat them.

A bit of down time this afternoon and then we head to Vineland for a bit of retail therapy. Much quieter than the other outlets last week and we park in the disabled spaces near the entrance with no problem. Richard heads into Sketchers for trainers, they are actually $10 cheaper here than the other outlets!

The Diamond Exchange tell me to name my price on a lovely ring! It’s obviously been a slow day! I don’t buy it!

Publix again for some water and some salad. We order a takeaway from Bamboo Wok. I just have General Tso’s chicken to eat with my salad. Richard has Bourbon Chicken.

A relaxing evening watching Raiders of the Lost Ark with Mint Chocolate ice cream for pudding.

I was in both outlets on Friday have to say they were very quiet maybe the paid parking is putting folks off
I parked no problem in both in the free areas though

Selina. Villa looking very nice, a pain to have to move but must be great to get such a long rental from snowbirds.
I suppose it must be balanced with the potential of a last minute cancellation by them and being left with a huge gap in the diary?

The takeaway food looks good, I dont know the last time we had a takeaway or Chinese food.
