Slabgate, I love it! Thankfully she doesn't look as badly damaged as I originally thought. I've cleaned her up a bit and some of the leather on the handle is damaged but only a small amount, some of the rose gold on the handle is too but I suppose I could get a little bit of pain and touch that up, and then the back is really scratched but in fairness, it's shiny so it was getting fairly stratched anyway but it looks better now some of the rubble and dust has been polished out.
It was an absolutely mammoth trip and I'm still recovering, not from jetlag but just because of our general pace but it was very deliberate and I have absolutely no regrets. Lots of lessons learned from that journey, for sure! Oh yes, taxi was the best decision ever! 10 cases, my oh my! |

I'm worn out just reading this first day! You are so adventurous travelling from the airport on the trains. Our first few minutes in New York were interrupted by my daughter chucking up right outside a rather exclusive looking hotel, so I can share in Matt's misery with his fall...hope it didn't affect his knee later in the trip. I love the photos from the Empire State Building at night.

Oh gosh that sounds as dramatic as our arrival
His knee was fine thank goodness, he had surgery on it over the summer so that was the immediate concern but he was fine. I was trying to save a few pennies and we normally do ok on public transport but not this time! We love those photos too, one of our favourite things that we did! Thanks for reading! |

Wowwwww firstly you did soooooo much! I am so impressed.
Secondly those night time shots are just beautiful. What an experience whilst the anniversary lights were on. Can't wait to read more your highs and lows sounds like it's going to be an eventful read! X
