I saw this earlier, we have visited this site many times. So sorry for the poor lad and his family, it’s just unimaginable isn’t it?

It doesn’t say what happened but am guessing water accident? So tragic, too many news stories like this recently its heart breaking. We used to go to the french keycamp sites yearly when our boys were small and loved them.

Yes, he drowned in the lake. It's utterly tragic. We've been there too

Tragic . I thought from other images and the description of ‘ lake’ that they meant the fishing lake ?
But it now appears to be the man made lake/pool , the one in the picture by the bar area that is specifically designed for swimming
I would have thought there would have been plenty of people in the water at that time ?
And although we never went in there , it didn’t look very deep and I would have thought a 12 year old could have stood up in it, even in the middle ?

We visited this campsite the very first time we took the kids on a holiday abroad.

We had a 6 year old boy near us who drowned last weekend whilst on a fishing trip with his Dad😢.

Such a truly heartbreaking tragedy and feel so much for his family and friends having to cope with this

We were there at the time, but had gone to disneyland paris that day. Cannot imagine how awful it just be for his family.
