a type off metal badge with one central post with a plastic or metal back you can pin them on to a lanyard a type of ribbon you hang round your neck .
See dibb merchandise there is a lanyard you can buy.

yes some are worth more money that others as there is limited edition pins ie 100 / 250 / 500 / 1000 etc.

Pin trading is a huge business for Disney and earns them a few $$$$$$$.
