Swan vs dolphin
Would one be preferable to the other? They are both coming in at the same price and cheaper than any of the Disney hotels. Would be looking at a 6 night stay to spend time at Hollywood studios and Epcot. Anyone stayed at either?how did you find it?

Interested too! I have always thought the Disney extras outweighed the savings, but now those extras have disappeared, perhaps not.

We have stayed at the Dolphin as it was cheaper than the Swan at the time. I think the beds are bigger in the Swan and many of the dining options are at the Dolphin. Otherwise I would choose based on price.

This is spooky as I’ve just got one day to fill next year and I was looking at the Swan & Dolphin as we are at the Yacht club before - the other option is to tag an extra night on to the yacht club - what do people think ?

both are fine to stay at, the boats are great to the resorts, and its not a long walk to the boardwalk. The days of free car parking gone and no extra hours etc. rooms are great , you can drop lucky and get a room that enables firework viewing ( if they restart)

I think if I was moving for one night it would be to a hotel that offered something different - like AKL or a monorail resort.

I cannot see the point of moving across the Boardwalk from the Yacht Club to the Swan or Dolphin for one night. I’d probably stay put. Unless I really wanted to sample a different Disney hotel, in which case I would move somewhere completely different, I would quite like to see and stay a night at the Art of Animation.

I’ve stayed in all the hotels around the lake. We like BW best and Beach/Yacht and Swalphin come equal second (I actually prefer the pools at the Swalphin to the BC)
I really like both the Swan and Dolphin and with Disney dining as it is currently if I was returning to Disney in the foreseeable future I’d probably stay there (we prefer to Uber from MCO than risk a long wait for the Magical Express). That said I don’t think I’d bother moving from any of the Crescent lake hotels to another for just one night |
