Last time I looked, Scotland was part of the United Kingdom...
Hopefully May will be forced out, and we will walk away and not pay the EU another penny. I can dream... I am a realist and accept there are too many malevolent forces in power against the will of the people and democracy.

I hoped I was wrong and the outcome would be positive but the problem was that many of us could see that leaving wasn't really a viable option without a lot of pain.
Frankly the vote was political manoeuvring that went dramatically wrong on the part of some politicians. There was never any workable plan and we are now left in this mess. I don't know what can be done to salvage things but I worry my children's generation are going to be paying the price for many years to come, long after the majority of people who voted to leave are gone and that upsets me.

I don't believe for a second that if the vote had gone the other way that Nigel Farage, UKIP, David Davis etc would have shut up and accepted the result. Only 37% of registered voters voted for Brexit.

Snakes in the grass, the lot of them. The referendum was a farce, the issues we face now were not even thought of back then. Brexit means Brexit is meaningless rhetoric. Give the people the respect they deserve and allow a referendum on the outcome of negotiations when we know what Brexit actually means. Only then will people know what they are actually voting for.

It was only supposed to be an advisory referendum anyway.

It's about time they were , we are after all adults and should be able to discuss political issues and respect each other's opinions without hurling abuse .
I am interested in other people's opinions on this and hope the thread stays civil so it doesn't get closed .
