Cocoa beach after KSC?
We’re going to Kennedy space centre for a day and hoped to go to the beach nearby (is Cocoa beach near or is there a closer one?) and have dinner there...any recommendations?

We went to cocoa beach after ksc and chatted with grandparents who were waving from the other side of the Atlantic.
Was an emotional moment. |

I love the Rikki Tiki Tavern on the end of Cocoa Beach Pier - a lovely spot to sit, eat, drink and watch those trying to surf below you!

We’ve done it, make sure you get to KSC for opening and do the bus tour first, then you’ve got time to do the bits you want to do. We got to Cocoa Beach about 3:30pm and the car park near the pier was free at this time as the car park attendant had gone home. There are toilets on the pier, but they’re not the most hygienic if you’re thinking of changing after a swim.

Dixie’s Crossroads in Titusville is great for dinner and does amazing rock shrimp 😋. It’s not in the nicest of areas but busy enough to be safe and there’s a large car park at the rear. Go early though as it’s very popular with the locals!
If heading to cocoa beach don’t forget to pick up a shaved ice from Ms Vickie’s Oasis cafe - she makes all her own flavours. All that said KSC can be a full day on its own too! |

It’s a good plan and Cocoa Beach is convenient. We prefer Daytona Beach, which is a pleasant drive to the North, more to see and still an easy drive back to Orlando next day. A walk along the Promenade is lovely.
