The Forbidden Forest was open last July.
Watch out for the spiders.

Highly recommend it for all HP fans! Really fascinating and great fun. The gift shop is pricey but our kids loved spending their pocket money on wands and animals.

Thanks for all the replies! Still not sure what to do lol! Am afraid of leaving it to long and it sells out, but equally my son was OBSESSED with Harry Potter for a while and now just likes it... I will think it over... Thanks again 😁

It is unlikely to sell out. It has run for several years and just keeps getting bigger.
Definitely worth doing and I would allow a whole day.

Took my son about two years ago, it was excellent and would thoroughly recommend it. We booked many weeks in advance and picked a mid-morning time that would allow us to get the train from Euston and then the shuttle bus from Watford station. When booking we saw that evening availability was generally better than daytime. With hindsight we were glad to have not booked evening as, once in, you can spend as much time as you want and we were there for about 5 hours - so an evening visit would have been rushed and therefore a disappointment.

School holidays do sell out. There are no tickets available between now and 3-6 June and those dates only have after 5pm, rest of June has no availability, July has limited times available, August (they increase the staff and visitor numbers) has early morning and from mid afternoon - no "nice" starts like 11am for people travelling a bit
October holidays are already sold out from 25th Oct to 1 Nov - it is becoming "a victim of its own success" We booked in Feb for our preferred date/time in July - some times had already gone. |

You definitely have to book in advance but we only booked a few months ahead when I went (a Saturday in December). Maybe try for some time in the summer holidays?

Oct half term always sells out at least 5 months in advance since they hold a special "dark arts" week to coincide with the holidays and Halloween

Tickets often sell out, or availability becomes very limited, many months beforehand. Especially for dates during school holidays. Last year we booked about 6 months beforehand because the year before that we'd left it too late.
The OP is talking about going in October half term and, according to WhereIBelong, "October holidays are already sold out from 25th Oct to 1 Nov". So it sounds like the OP may already be too late.
