Soft drinks for stateroom?

We are not big alcohol drinkers but do get through a lot of soft drinks. Is it possible to bring some cans of soft drinks on the ship to keep in our fridge? I can imagine us coming back from an excursion all hot and tired, and just wanting to grab a coke from the fridge rather than go up to the drink station.

I know you can buy a water package (or presumably bring your own) but I wasn't sure about soft drinks.

Yes you can take them on the ship although the fridge isn't big! You must also carry on as hand luggage; it isn't allowed in checked luggage.

You could leave some soft drinks in your fridge from the drinks station for when you come back onboard, there are lids available for the cups at the drinks station.

We always took a drink from the drink station back to our room for the fridge at night in case we woke up thirsty and also for ds to take his medication before bed and before breakfast.

As others have said Gill, you can take bottles/cans of pop on board but you need to keep them in your hand luggage and trawl them around with you until 1:30 when your room is ready.

I would definitely prepare yourself and bring a container onboard (like a Tervis cup, flask or any bottle), fill it at the drinks station before you go out and pop it in your fridge. When you refill using your own container, please use the cups provided to actually do the refilling .. don't hold your own container to the drinks dispenser. Fastest way to spread all kinds of germs.

Good point- this is my pet hate. Despite all the signs, you see lots of people filling their own bottles and touching the spout of the dispenser. Yuck!

We were fine just wandering up to the drinks machine, but I would just buy a couple of cans or bottles at every port for the fridge if you really want some

They chill fairly well, but not instantly. It's not as cold as your fridge at home for sure, but when Mick puts his beers in them, they're ok within about 7-9 hours.
They are small coolers but they hold way more than 6 cans .. I think Mick's probably had about 12 cans plus some chocolate too.
