Universal have very few rides that are accessible to someone who can't transfer from their wheelchair, this is nothing new. Some of those which are accessible for a standard wheelchair cannot accommodate the specialist wheelchairs and seating systems of the type which Beth has. We have the same problem with DS but we still enjoy a day in the Universal parks as there are so many things to see apart from the rides. I hope they still have a good day.

Just received another text saying that Disney is absolutely fine but Universal are saying that they have to be able to sit unaided.

I can appreciate its frustrating and annoying (and presuming you have to pay the same entrance fee as able bodied people which isnt right) , but i think to say its disgusting is OTT.
Having read Loadsapixiedust post its clear its a safety issue , presumably its because the rides at Universal aren't as gentle as those at WDW. |

Sarah, if you can contact Michelle tell her to go to Guest Relations and ask for a copy of the Riders Guide, there is a link to it here in the sticky thread so she has probably seen it before. It details all the safety requirements and ride accessibility rules for each attraction.
Universal do give a 15% discount on tickets at the gate for disabled guests. |
