Not noticed that - everywhere we have been seems to be very busy. Maybe the G7 has had something to do with it.

No we haven’t. It’s not been easy fitting in everything with the baby and his naps, food, bath, etc. We are off to Pendennis Castle today. We did get to Trebah which we really liked. Not sure if we can get to Kennal Vale now as tomorrow we are leaving.

It’s pleasing to hear that you are finding so much to do!

We have a week booked in Lizard in August staying in the lighthouse. Not sure if I am looking forward to it or not. Keep seeing things that are giving me nightmares about it being ridiculously busy and not a lot to do. Didn't realise quite how out of the way it was when I booked it.

The Lizard is rather beautiful, isolated and interesting with some really lovely beaches and coastal walks.

Pasties in Lizard Village are pretty good also!

Having cancelled our Greek holiday for July we’re tentatively thinking about Cornwall. I used to go loads - Newquay, St Ives, around the Lizard - but haven’t been for nearly 15 years. With prices being so high I wonder if it’s worth trying for a very very last minute deal on a cottage or something? It would be the week before the start of the summer holidays 🤞

You will doubtless pay plenty now as there is so much uncertainty in foreign travel and also because School Hols are approaching. I do not know if you have children, but if you do not, then I would wait until September.

If I did, then I would bite the bullet and research ‘Tall Ships week and Falmouth Carnival Week, whilst looking at Pen an drea Holiday Homes. You would be rather close to Falmouth and thus able to dip in and out as you chose.
Tall Ships sailing day is a sight to behold and some great viewing points are walking distance away.

I took these at the last Falmouth tall ships.

I have a Cornwall booking for 10 nights from the 18th July . Cost us about £700 from memory . I could probably sell it for double now .
Maybe if overseas opens up there may be a few holding cancellable deals who cancel them at the last minute for a cheeky overseas trip

You obviously have to be prepared to either
- miss out
- pay a massive premium
-have to go somewhere else a bit more sensibly priced

I wouldn’t be paying the prices that they are going for now
