How do you pronounce Akershus?

Just a quick one - DH and I are pronouncing this totally differently (and we’re both probably wrong!) How do you pronounce it?

I would assume hus is Norwegian for house (Scottish and Nordic languages sound very much alike).

So it would be Aker’s Hoose.

With Akers pronounced like the word acres? We’ve both been saying sh, (Aker-shuss and Aker-shoes, so both wrong, as I predicted! 🤣

AJ on dfb pronounces it Aker- shuss so I’ve always said it like that. Not sure if that’s correct or not, it probably should be as in haus.

I would pronounce Aker as if it was Akker. So Akker’s Hoose.
