Help me fall in love with POR!

We were due to stay at POFQ in 2020 (our first on-site stay, but obviously cancelled).

We rebooked for August 2022 at CSR, tried to move to POFQ but it was full. However, we've just heard that we now have a Garden view 5th sleeper at POR. We are 2 adults and 2 children (10 & 5 when we go).

I did lots of research about FQ but hadn't really looked at Riverside.

Tell me what you love about the POR resort so we can fall in love with it too 😀

It is a very attractive looking resort. When we stayed I didn't specify a room and we had a lovely long walk to and from the room.

We’ve stayed twice and loved it. It’s very spacious and has lots of greenery, plus there is the riverboat that can take you to Disney springs which is a nice alternative to having to bus everywhere.
Our kids loved the quiet pools more than the main pool and they were literally always quiet!

It’s a lovely resort.
Our room was in Magnolia Bend and it took around 5 mins to walk over the bridge to the food court and the lobby.
Our room was very close to a quiet pool and the laundry room which was handy and just a 2/3 minute walk to the East Depot bus stop.
We only ever waited a few minutes for a bus and always got a seat

It’s a beautiful resort with lots going on, but with more tranquil areas too. We’ve stayed in both areas (Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend) and liked both. We never had any issues with the buses and going to Disney Springs by boat is a wonderful way to travel.

The food court has lots of options and it’s a 10 minute walk to FQ which also has some nice food.

We stayed at POFQ in 2017 but visited POR a couple of times and absolutely loved it. We are keen to do skyliner resort and therefore have booked CBR for next year, but we were very tempted to go to POR from what we saw. We enjoyed a lovely Surrey bike ride around there and the walks are beautiful- it felt more luxurious than POFQ to me. The Disney Springs boat is really a wonderful addition too. I would happily stay there!

Utterly gorgeous and would stay there again in a heartbeat. So much lush greenery and the river is beautiful. The food court is great too.

Shame you won't see Yee-Ha Bob performing in the River Roost Lounge.

You don’t need our words to fall in love with it. Just wait till you are walking around the grounds or on the boat back from DS, that’ll do it.
