Bit of a long shot but when the owners sent you the booking form over to sign was there terms and conditions attached for you to look over before signing, if so did they have the name of their property manager on there? if so could you find an email for them?

Sadly a lot of owners have sold up this past year and I hope your booking is OK and not affected by this or an owner passing as you may also think. Good luck in your search.

Unfortunately from our checks it seems that the owner in question passed away last November.
We have advised sending a recorded letter to the family at the contact address.

Hi Stu,
Our management are going to speak to their management and tell them of Mark and Amanda concern. We PM them this morning and hopefully they will be in contact soon. It must be a very stressful time for both parties, but we were asked not too mention the death of Geraldine as it was personal.

Glad you got it sorted, and condolences to those people who knew the villa owner. The DIBB villas have good reps, and it's so refreshing to see someone in this situation on a social media site not posting angrily, threatening to "name and shame" etc.

This is such a true comment. The OP's tone and manner was measured and controlled and asking perfectly reasonable questions. It was so refreshing not to see an immediate reaction of "owner bashing". This owner's family were no doubt having a terrible time and overlooked the emails. Well done Melvin for helping out and I am so glad it has all got sorted and my sincere condolences to the family on their loss
