Any one looking to book September/Oct time?

We have long-standing flights booked for the October half-term, but I'm not expecting to be able to use them, whether we are "allowed" to fly or not. There are so many scenarios that, even with flights operating and theme parks open, it would be unwise to fly.

The virus isn't going anywhere so, for example...

If you haven't had it (and by that I mean, had a test that confirms you've had it) it may be that countries won't admit you, since they don't want to add the potential further burden to their own health service.

it may be that they will admit you, but you have to go into quarantine for 14 days upon arrival - South Korea are doing this - it essentially kills tourism for as long as it is in effect.

It may be that things are OK here, but not in the US given how each country is likely to go through cycles of tightening and loosening restrictions - these could be out of sync with each other.

In short, I'd not book anything at this time. We have flights, but I won't bother with anything else until the month of travel itself, if at all.

I have changed my booking to September, was due to go at the end of April. I will change it again as necessary as long as the airlines are still in existence. I am sure it will be a different holiday.

Still holding out for going on 16th Sept! Made the mistake of looking at plan B ie.delay a year, exact same week £800 more expensive! Std room at AKL
