Platinum Dining plan?

So we are looking at buying the Platinum Dining plan for next year but I would only want it for 1 night which is fine as we will be doing a split stay. But my question is 1 night counted as 1 day or 2 days?
As obviously if it is 2 days it will be double the price and we don't really need it for both days only the 1 day

I don't think you can buy one day dinning plan. It's one day and you get one day credit but they may have minimum stay

I thought it was a minimum of 5 nights - but that might be if you're on a hotel package with tickets.

I have bought DDP for a split stay, so it was effectively a 2 day then a 6 day purchase - but was that because I'm a DVC member and could buy only what I actually wanted/needed? I don't know.

Have you visited the Disney Dining Plan site in case it sets it out on there?

All that said, with the dollar/pound exchange rate being what it is ($1.225 this morning), do you really want to buy a dining plan that'll cost you hundreds of pounds every single day?! It's so much food (2 TS a day and tons of snacks from what I've read). I know someone - who is a big eater - who upgraded to the DxDDP (as it used to be called) and told us it was far too much food. Unless you're planning on eating a signature meal every single day it's way, way too much.

Edit: OP, I've read your post again and see you're only actually staying one night. In that case I very much doubt you'd be eligable for any dining plan. However, for information you get 1 'set' of meals per NIGHT, so checking in in the evening you'd be able to have a dinner. Then the following day you'd have a breakfast or a lunch and for 2016 1 snack credit but with a dessert for the counter service meal, and in 2017 2 snack credits but dessert only with the table service meal (where applicable).

It's definitely a 5 day minimum for the free dining plans. Do you mean the deluxe dining plan? Never hear it called premium. Not sure the dining plans are that good value at the moment with the currency (unless free!)
