Years ago I flew from London (I'm on the South coast), more recently I flew from Southampton, and booked the flights through Disney as it actually worked out cheaper as they included free luggage as a perk. I don't think they do that any more. Most recently I took the Eurostar from Ebbsfleet, it really was easier. We went direct and got the tickets pretty much day of release online, it was £130 return for 1ad 1ch.
In August we're catching the direct Eurostar again, we got the seats through Magic Breaks before they were available online from Eurostar, and I believe they were about £250 ish for 2ad 1ch. I had previously looked online for dates on the day of release, to get an idea, and the price that Magic Breaks were offering were pretty much the same. I'm assuming they're slightly more for higher seasons. x Edit: The plus side of the direct Eurostar was the lack of need to get transfers sorted once arriving in France, and no waiting for luggage! Also there was no passport control on arrival the other end, they do it this end! Edited at 09:40 PM. |

If you do fly I would recommend booking a company such as RS Transport to take you to and from DLP not the Disney coach. That is not worth the cost.

Excited about Disney

We flew from Newcastle, direct to CDG much quicker than our family who drove, 6h to Folkstone, hotel stay, tunnel, 3h out the other side, or all in one go if youre able.
Train, I wouldn't trust LNER to get me there on time for eurostar. However if there are 4 or 5 of you driving might work out cheaper even with hotels etc in there We also used RS Transport for transfer |

We are in the north east. I’d prefer to fly but last time we drove to Ebbsfleet, Kent and then got the Eurostar. The indirect Eurostar was very cheap and it was quite a stress free way to travel.
It was much cheaper than flying but if I could get cheap flights that would be my preference. |

I find Newcastle flights to CDG are very expensive. We are looking at Edinburgh for about £50-60 each return.
I agree about LNER, I wouldn’t book to get me there on day of Eurostar we always got the train down the day before and booked a travel lodge next to the station for £50ish per night. I just wish easyJet would start flying to Paris again from Newcastle. |

Eurostar and the tunnel are great if you are south east but in the North I would only fly, especially if it is a short break.
We flew Manchester to CDG in October at 7.30 am and we were in the park by 12. Booked easyJet flights on the day of release and paid £60 each return, RStransport for €88 return. We used to use the tunnel or ferry when DLP was part of a 3 week touring caravan holiday but for a short break I couldn’t drive 7 hours or so just to get to Dover. |

Problem is it is north east and options for flying is very expensive. I refuse to pay for flights from Newcastle to Paris as they are expensive. We live near Durham and find the train and Eurostar the easiest , it is longer but a lot cheaper and no transfer from the other side. We got cheap flights once from Manchester, paid about £200 for 4 return flights but had to travel to Manchester airport then another transfer at the other end in Paris. Didn’t save as much time as I thought we would. I am going to look at Edinburgh and get train up from Durham. Hopefully this will be easier.
Newcastle only have airframce travelling to Paris with no competition. I last priced up flights Easter last year and it was £1000 for 5 as mother in law came. I got the train, hotel and Eurostar for half the price. Like I said before if easyJet start flying again to Paris from Newcastle I wouldn’t hesitate and fly with them everytime. |

Do look at Hull-Zeebrugge ferry, other Dibbers have used it and apparently it is a easy drive.

We always drive over and use the tunnel from the West Midlands. It takes us around 7-8 hours to get from our house to Disney.

We’d never think of flying tbh. I’m guessing with the time involved other than the actual flight time, it wouldn’t be much quicker. Plus, we like having a car.
