Can you go to a park before checking in?

Hi, we are staying at AKL which is linked with our 14 day Disney tickets.

But we are staying at the Beach Club beforehand (without tickets). On the day we are due to check into AKL, could we go to Hollywood Studios from the Beach Club - will our tickets activate on the day we check into AKL before we actually check in? Or do we need to go to AKL physically first?

Your tickets will be on the magic band at AKL I think so you’ll need to check in.

If you bought your park tickets direct then you’ll need to go and collect them, if you have bought separately and have actual tickets then you can go straight to the parks

Tickets are not on specific magic bands. The tickets are attached to the MDE account, the magic bands are also attached to the MDE account and there is a three way link so tickets can be read from any magic band that is attached to the account. So their BC magic bands will work just as well as the AK ones.

I have asked this and had mixed answers. We are doing a similar thing. You’ll get magic bands at Beach Club too so if all reservations are linked to your MDE the ticket will be on all magic bands too. I was just going to ask at our first hotel (AKL)

hmm would like to know the answer to this as well - we are just stopping one night hopefully at boardwalk villas without tickets and then heading to AKL for the rest of our stay with tickets/dining plan - if they activated without us checking in that would solve our problem and we could head straight to the studios that day and leave our luggage till later

Answered above. Yes they will work, any magic band attached to your account will work.

So you don't think the tickets etc need to be activated by a physical check in at AKL?

No need for a physical activation . As long as the magic band and tickets are on the MDE you can just use the magic band. This is how people who do one night throw away bookings do it, they get the bands delivered before hand and just go direct to the park.

excellent that solves a problem then making me wonder whether we can activate our tickets a day earlier now... ive seen online some people say if you go to guest services you may be able to...
