Universal Harry Potter

Just a quick question about Harry Potter Gringots Escape ride has any spiders in it.
It's a silly question but my friend is really scared of them and has asked me the question.
Sorry in advance if the question has already been asked.

No there are no spiders in Gringotts, they are only in Forbidden Journey (unfortunately!)

As above, no spiders in the Gringotts ride but there are spiders in the forbidden journey.
My OH really really hates spiders, i mean he screams like a little girl! And the first time we went on, he was petrified, however he managed to keep his eyes closed and i just squeezed his knee to let him know it was over. It only lasts a couple of seconds really, so thats how we managed to do it on multiple occasions.

He had a worse experience during the 'its tough to be a bug' show at AK. The spiders come down from the ceiling and he actually got up and nearly walked out as he wasnt sure if he could deal with them being there (these are plastic animatronics btw)
So you may want to steer clear of that show!

yeah I hate spiders as well and tough to be a bug freaked me out the first time.
With Harry Potter is that the spiders are so obviously not real, that it didn't bother me at all

My son who is terrified of spiders also hates shrek 4d at universal (is that still open?) Especially the blasts of air around your ankles when they are supposed to be on the loose. To him that bit is worse than the visual effect. He went on fj once... never again even though I said I would let him know when the spider part was over. Tough to be a bug he can just about cope with-i guess because they are all cartoony styled, and its a bit lighter inside than fj and shrek. But he still grips onto me and shuts his eyes and cringes when the spider bit happens.

you ain't seen anything unless you have watched your wife and sis in law leap on to the seat at the part in honey I shrunk the audience (for those who remember it) where the mice are supposed to run out

The problem with forbidden journey is the noise of them scurrying as well. I know that sound is from the chamber of secrets and I can’t cope with it. I have my eyes closed from the second that noise starts.

Gringotts is completely clear of those horrible creatures!
