Vegetarian options

Hi we’re returning to Orlando in the summer and our 18 year old is now vegetarian. Any suggestions/recommendation on places with good veggie range would be appreciated. Thanks

If you want something onsite, Sanaa is really great at catering for vegetarian/vegan guests

Thank you. I’ve seen a few reviews about vegetarian options in trip advisor but when I look on restaurant website at the menu there is no mention of veggie stuff - Perhaps you just have to ask!

Yes - often have to ask - Millers do a veggie menu if you ask for it, sometimes the staff don't know about it (good Garden Burger apparently). Cici's is good too - and they will cook pizza you want fresh, and decent salad. Golden Coral lots of options.

Disney TS restaurants were very good, coming up with dishes not on the menu.

Check out oh_darling’s trippies (Libby and Ben) as Ben is a veggie and they eat loads of places.

I can’t imagine any table service restaurant not having a veggie option.

We went with a vegetarian this year. Agree with Chilis, Olive Garden, Sweet Tomatoes and Millers. I found the steak houses seemed to have nothing at all on their menus. I think Chilis substituted something to do veggie fajitas.

Also we only went for breakfast in the end but Dennys cater for vegetarians too

Onsite

Trails end with chef TJ is a must, the best meal you will ever have as a Veggie ( though tell him you are Vegan, as his normal buffet contains veggie stuff ) it is a true special meal, 5 course of heaven ( though make sure you go when chef TJ is on, i have booked 3 ADR's two midweek and one weekend, then checked will check when he is working, currently Sun - thursday ) )

Boma, ask for Chef Matt, he will show you the veggie options ( loads of them ) and if you want anything special, he will hook you up teriyaki tofu is a dish he will cook for you

Turf club, since Chef Omar has left for avatar land,it seems his fellow chefs are carrying on his good work

The Wave, had a Veggie menu

off-site

Sweet tomato's is great, very recommended, we loved it here

Bombay Cafe is great for a Indian, its a bit of a drive and a really strange place, it is in a " Indian Mall " , very small but the food was great

Millars Ale house was very nice, own Veggie menu, but keep a eye on the food ( our Veggie platter came with potato skins with bacon bits ontop )

CiCi's pizza was cheap and cheerful, just ask at the counter for a pizza you fancy, mention you are veggie and to use clean tools ( so they are aware )

My veggie daughter's favourite meal at Universal was at Thunder Falls Terrace - she ordered several sides to have as a main meal and LOVED it. Coleslaw, potato salad and some really nice black beans...

Chilli's, Red Robin Burgers and Millers all do a veggie burger - the steak houses, though are useless at providing much other than sides - mash (usually has bacon in it), fries, baked potato, maybe sweetcorn or mac n cheese

It's become a lot easier in recent years than 10 years ago though. I can usually find something to eat these days, except at steakhouses
