Thank you for the work that you do - moderating a forum must be thankless task, especially for a forum like the Current Issues where people (including me) hold some very strong opinions.

Please don't get wound up about, or by, people like this.

Report the post, add the sender to your ignore list and move on. Don't feed the trolls by responding - that just gives them more impetus to carry on.

This is always the best advice, if someone is trolling then they are just looking for a reaction, any reaction, even one calling them a troll

To some extent we are all hurting, for a multitude of reasons. Each poster has a story to tell and those experiences can, and indeed do, influence the strength of feelings in the post. Some posts are aggressive, but what we lack on a virtual forum is body language and tone. These two things can make for a softer outburst.

I try to resist the temptation to be dragged into a game of principle tennis, because there is no winner, only losers.

Lets all think before we write, and understand that these are dark, strange, times.

The Mods do a fine job, but lets all collectively give them a day off.

A couple of days ago a member was given a short term ban but we gave them a reason.

I love the Dibb and I have been a member for almost 20 years

I do have concerns that certain members do deliberately start controversial threads and then all the comments and arguments occur which then breach the rules.
