Disney on site hotel for 1 or 2 nights

Hi All,

Feel like this is something I should know or im just being daft and cant work it out, but can you book 1 or 2 nights only at a WDW hotel?
We currently dont have any time on site next year but would like a night or 2 at Beach Club if possible (its our 10th anniversary around that time and we had our honeymoon at Beach Club) but if i try and use the usual site it only seems to allow 5 days as a minimum.

Any ideas, thanks in advance

we booked direct last year for 2/3 nights at the Yacht club so you used to be able to do it

If it says 5 days minimum it is because you are trying to book a hotel and tickets. You can’t do that, you need five days for a hotel / ticket package. But if you check the “hotel only” box you can book your one or two nights.

As above, make sure you've selected hotel only. Also I found the search works best on Disney Holidays as sometimes the other WDTC sites would still default to 5 nights even on hotel only.

We've never done this as we always stay on-site for the duration of our time visiting the Disney parks, but when I see questions like this, I always question the merit of a 1-night stay.

There's no guarantee your room will be ready before mid-afternoon and you'll need to vacate it the next morning, meaning you could get considerably less than 24 hours use for your money - hardly time to enjoy the resort and its amenities.

As such, if you can stretch to two nights, I think you'd get a lot more bang for your buck as you'd have an entire day, without the hassles of moving in or out, to really enjoy the resort you've paid for.

The UK Disney Holidays site does allow for stays of as short as 1-night, room only, ie assuming you already have tickets.

I would do a one night stay for something like After Hours, so I'm not trying to get back to off-site accomodation at 1am. So it's more about having a close proximity room than to enjoy the resort itself.

Although I agree for the resort itself, I would probably do 2 nights. But technically you could show up at 7am and not leave until midnight the next day on a 1 night booking, if you don't care about having a room available for most of that time.

That's what we did think we went for 3 nights at the YC as we figured out if we divided and conquered we could do everything we wanted in the 2 full days we were there - but that's all pie in the sky now as were of to Barbados instead

I would book Swan Dolphin on Hotels.com if I were you, fully cancellable, usually much cheaper, same location, same perks.

Agree. We did two nights at the Contemporary a couple of years ago and did MNSSHP on the first night. It was great staying until late and knowing we didn’t have to deal with any form of transport after, just a nice short stroll back to our room. We spent the rest of the time we were staying there at MK and the resort / the other monorail resorts so didn’t have to get the car out of the car park or take buses. It was lovely.

The Contemporary obviously isn’t cheap (although we did Garden Wing which is a bit cheaper) but that walk to MK is worth its weight in gold for me. I’d love to do this every few trips, and I suppose there’s DVC at Bay Lake as well which could be a better deal.

Just throwing this in but think of all the Special anniversary things you could do with that £700?I would also look at a couple of nights DVC rental, same perks but a lot cheaper.
