Just booked Manchester - Orlando direct with Virgin in school holidays.

Wed 19th Aug - Sat 5th Sept. 2 adults 3 kids (2-11) was £3866. Cheaper than last year which I'm surprised at given TC. This is also the early 10am flight out which gives you a good amount of time on the first day (we use it to do a shop, get unpacked and hit the pool before ordering a pizza delivery).

Firsttimer2017 - where did you find that great deal?

I've just been on the United website for dates in mid July and it came to £13K (yes thirteen thousand pounds!) for 2 adults and 2 children return indirect to Manchester to Orlando for 3 weeks!

We could fly direct from Gatwick for just over £600 each same dates - so unfair.

There seems to be widespread availability with Lufthansa/United/Swiss for much of August coming in at around £370pp indirect out of Heathrow into Tampa (possibly Orlando too) including a checked case per passenger.

You can find them on Kayak (and probably Skyscanner) and then you book direct with the airline. The screenshot below is from the Lufthansa site for 2 adults and 1 10-year old LHR - TPA and includes bags.

I found it on sky scanner but it’s direct with United airlines.
