Elf on the shelf

I do this every year ,let’s share ideas,here are some of mine from last year

I know a lot of people don’t like Elf on the Shelf... but I love it. 💞 my granddaughter didn’t really understand him that much last year, last year, he made his way to Florida with us. But this year, she is quite excited... I’ve been warning her Buddy is watching. One thing I’m going to do this year, is wrap the Christmas tree in toilet paper.

That’s brilliant she’ll love it . I find lots of good things to do with him on Pinterest as I tend to run out of ideas by day 10

Our ( or should I say my grandsons) elf is called Jack. Lots of fun can be had , but last year my son in law was getting a bit fed up of remembering to move him etc , especially when he was about to nod off
Solution he came up with ********* Jack had a skiing accident at the North Pole just before he came so his leg was in plaster for a couple of weeks still but was still coming but couldn’t be moved.
Leg wrapped with cotton wool, and all the toys sat around him greeted the boys.
Bingo ! 10 days before they had to think of new ideas.

Last December 1st my grandchildren found “I’m back” written in sprinkled cornflakes on the hearth and the elf sitting on the mantelpiece. Later on he was sitting in the fridge with a little wool scarf on and a message saying “I’m cold”! Need to get my thinking cap on for this year!

My American friend does some really good ones , 2 that stick in my mind are a price of string from the tree to the wall with the elf hang gliding along it, and one of the elf sat on her little boys pillow with her son's face covered in lipstick
