Seeing conflicting stories about the fireworks.. going in February Mon-Fri but my boyfriend has read the fireworks only happen on the weekend?

You can tell your boyfriend he is wrong Illuminations happens every single day at park closing time, the only time it's not on is if there is really bad weather but that's very rare.

he could be looking at information for Disneyland California. In the off seasons , such as February they limit the fireworks to weekends only.

Wiki describes Disney Illuminations quite well as "a nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Park in Disneyland Paris. It opened to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the park, and replaced Disney Dreams".

Disney Illuminations is definitely a spectacular event and whilst the fireworks are an important part of the show they are not the only part - although they are an integral part of the show so the fireworks are run every night.

If you or your boyfriend have not seen Disney Illuminations or any other Disney nighttime show then I recommend that you don't look it up on YouTube but wait until you witness when you're there. The first time that we saw a Disney nighttime show was live at DLP and it just blew us away, it was fantastic!

Personally I prefer Disney Dreams to the current Disney Illuminations, but that may be because I saw Disney Dreams first.

Regards,

Disney Dreams is superior to Illuminations in so many ways and it's such a shame they replaced it with its poorer cousin - but it's still a fantastic show and definitely something to see at least once during a visit.

Dreams was developed specifically for DLP’s castle and it showed. Illuminations was done for Shanghai.

I’d love to see Dreams if it’s better than Illuminations. I love Illuminations

Thanks everyone!

I think I saw the old fireworks years ago (I was about 11 so many, many, many years ago!).

Definitly not looking anything up! Thank you!

Thanks, I’m glad that somebody else agrees with what my wife and I feel about Disney Dreams vs Illuminations.

Disney Dreams (according to Wikipedia) was shown from 1 April 2012 to 24 March 2017, if you want to see it, there’s a good video on YouTube, however only use it as a comparison and don't watch until you've seen a display live:

NB, when I originally added the above YouTube link, it embedded the YouTube with a picture that possibly gave away too much. So I've placed a space in the link for you to copy and paste into a browser so you only see it if you really want to!

Regards,
