looking at booking now for August 2020.
Happy to do DIY but getting impatient on having to wait for flight

Looking at virgin gatwick flights

We got a good deal with AA flights and paid about £360 each direct to Miami.

We didn’t book till nearly end of October though

I’m waiting for sales for our 2020 Jul/Aug booking. There’s a price glitch thread on here which starts around August. Target is £600-700 direct to tampa or orlando.

Hoping that BA might also be doing free car hire in their sale again (end Aug/start sept). Else i’ll wait for virgin xmas/new year sale. Would never book flights now...look at the prices for this August for a guide to what they’ll be this time next year (as a worst case scenario).

Sounds a bit steep! Just looked on netflights and saw norwegian air flights thur 1st to thur 15th Aug 2019 for £796 (lgw-mco direct return). If I could get that for 2020 3 months before departure i’m pretty sure i’d be able to get sub £700 in a sale further out.

We’ve been paying no more than £500 each for a 24 night flydrive with upgraded car for the last few years. This year we got it down to 437 each

I always book the week the return flights become available. Book in Sept for the following July/ Aug

That’s really cheap. Is that direct?
Booking direct we usually get it around £660 and that’s miles plus money (virgin)

We connect via London from Newcastle because flights direct from Newcastle are extortionate
