You just reminded me, Tesco pet insurance sent me a similar letter a few months ago asking where they can pay me a refund due to underpaying me on my late Labradors insurance... I’ll look for that letter in the morning... 🤞

We both had a £35 and change refund from a Barclays mortgage that we had a couple of years ago. It became a palaver because it was a joint mortgage before we got married and I changed my name, so they issued a cheque to me in my no longer used name!
I had to send a copy of the marriage certificate to my bank to cash the thing!

This happened to me when I was left a gift in my grans will .
She’d made it pre me getting married, the bank was such a hassle , the solicitor wouldn’t change the name on the cheque either . Got there eventually though !

We had a refund from Lloyds Insurance earlier this year regarding our house insurance. Which confused us, because we no longer had house insurance with Lloyds and hadn't done for a few years. Turns out it was because back in 2014 (or something like that) they had said we were going to get a discount on our house insurance but never actually applied that discount. So they gave us a refund plus interest. I can't remember exactly how much the refund was but it wasn't very much - about £30 or something like that.
