I knew that it was only 3 a day but I also think the wording on the flyer is very confusing and I think it will lead to a lot of people getting frustrated who book 3 in the morning thinking they will be able to get another 3 later in the day.

The same as if staying onsite. Take your word for it.? Just because you are staying onsite will not guarantee disney you will visit a park you book FP+ 2 months in advance.
I am staying offsite this year but can book restaurants in advance so it makes sense to book FP in advance . I will purchase my 2/3week pass like everyone so feel I should have similar benefits as everyone. If not then I know they no longer want my dollar. |

I'm guessing that anyone who books to stay in a Disney resort and also ties in a paid for Disney ticket with that stay are quite likely to want fast passes? There is no taking their word for it there?

And anyone buying a ticket in advance are likely to want fast passes also and should be allowed to link it to my disney and book FP+ in advance.
It's a simple process for disney which I'm sure they will do. The other benefits such as extra magic hours will always benefit on site guests and hopefully will stay. Fast passes were designed to benefit park visitors not hotel visitors. Disney hopefully will address this discrepancy soon. Edited at 03:47 PM. |

Not wishing to labour the point but a ticket purchase doesn't convey a usage date, a hotel booking does.

I too hope this also gets rolled out to offsite guests! We are paying the same amount for tickets so should be able to get same benefits, we like having a villa with pool etc and there is 5 of us so staying onsite is not really a option!
I really think this queuing at kiosk is going to create massive queues! Queues can be big enough with old system let only when you have got people standing there deciding what to do! Can't believe you can only have 3 as well! |

Appears to be a bit of snobbery going on here. Just because you stay on site doesn't make your more special than someone staying off site.
You pay for your hotel to stay in that's your choice. We both pay for park admission exactly the same price terms and conditions. Two separate entities. Why should one benefit over the other. I have stayed onsite and changed my plans last minute that would also not guarantee a usage day. So what's your point on that? |

Where's the snobbery? I don't see any.
Terms and conditions for park users are staying the same, you couldn't prebook fast passes before, only on the day, that remains the same It appears universal can give their hotel guests advantages by staying on site, so why can't disney ?

It isn't a case of snobbery, onsite guests have always had extra perks, just the same as Universal Hotels gives you front of line passes or booking through Virgin Holidays gives you free access to the VLounge, etc.
Nothing has been taken away from offsite guests. Disney have just enhanced the onsite experience. If you elect to stay onsite then you are adding to Disney profits by spending your accommodation and probably food budget with them, Disney encourage this by offering benefits in their theme parks such as Extra Magic Hours and fastpass+ advanced bookings.
