Eurostar questions

We got back on the 30th Dec from our trip and my niece had a blast, so much so that we have booked again for Easter next year! This time my other sister and teenage nieces are joining us and one has a fear of flying so we are debating the Eurostar but I am a bit confused. From now up until May it seems to offer trains every day but then from May onwards they don’t seem to offer trains on a Thursday which is when we leave, why is that?

If you want to take a direct train to disney they run on Mon, weds Fri and Sun and possibly Sat I'm not sure. You can still travel on Thurs but you'll need to change at lille. We've always travelled direct to disney. This year we are going on Wed 16th Dec. It's so straight forward and you can take as much luggage as you can carry. The earlier you book the cheaper the seats. I'm hoping to book ours in march for dec.

We are happy to change trains but from early May onwards Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are greyed out and you cannot select those days.

Which station have you put to arrive in? If its marne le ville which is the disneyland station that will be why. They don't run direct trains on those days.

The indirect trains are only released 90 days in advance. So if you're travelling on a day where there is not a direct service you will need to wait a little longer to book.

That makes sense then. I wanted an idea on cost but if the indirect trains are not released until 90 days then we may just stick with the flights. Thanks for all the help!

If you look at dates which have already been released that will give you an idea of the cost.

It can be much cheaper than flying if you book straight away. And so much easier. Just to be able to get off the train and walk straight into Disney ... bliss!

Alternatively look at trains to Paris Gare du Nord. There is an offer on now for £29 tickets (each way). Of course those are not the most popular times, but we have made it work before.

You just get the RER train from there, takes 40 min and costs about 15 Euros return.

How about booking a really cheap hotel room for the Thursday night, and catching the direct train on a Friday? Just a thought. X
