Your 3 must do restaurants at Universal
We have booked 8 nights at Hard Rock Hotel in August 2021. We haven’t spent much time in the Universal parks in the past and have little experience of the restaurants in the parks and city walks. We have only done Hard Rock Cafe which we loved, and a basketball themed one which I can only remember being a bit meh!
So, to narrow down some good options, what are your three must do establishments in the Universal parks/resorts/city walk and why? Thanks!

Orchid Lounge at the Royal Pacific - lovely, lovely sushi in a peaceful setting. A great way to unwind after a day in the heat at the parks.
Toothsome - incredible pimped up shakes and desserts. We go just for these - they are a meal in themselves. NBC Sports Grill - I just like US sports bars with bar food and a zillion screens showing sports. This fits the bill perfectly! |

Our favourite meal was a Bubba Gumps - great seafood and cocktails, good atmosphere, great setting
I second Toothsome - amazing setting and food and incredible milkshakes/desserts Cowfish - great sushi and burgers/meat albeit service was a little slow the night we were there |

We really enjoyed Vivo at Citywalk recently. It is a fairly upmarket Italian. My daughters really enjoyed the pizza which was authentic brick oven style with buffalo mozzarella which is really rare here. The 2 different seafood pastas we had were also really good.
We have enjoyed Toothsome in the past as well.

Margaritaville and it’s nachos (plus cocktails) is our no1.
Hardrock cafe is the other one. We have been to too many Bubba’s and Pat Obrians was along to eating Louisiana swamp mud.. absolutely awful.

Hard Rock Cafes are surprisingly good, but the one at Orlando is fantastic with some of the best memorabilia. It’s also the biggest restaurant I think I have ever been in with two kitchens- one for upstairs and one for down. Burgers are cracking and it’s not too expensive.
The Italian in City Walk, forgot it’s name is good. (Edit just noted Donna above lists it- Vivo). Bubba Gump I found very average and would not go back. Never been to Toothsome but my colleague told me it was terrible when they went so I didn’t try.

My Dd wouldn’t forgive me if we didn’t go to Cowfish! Vivo Italian kitchen is lovely. Going to try Bigfire grill if we get to go in August.

The Palm. Signature prices and maybe only for a special night but food and service are top notch.
