Good Omens

Heard this was a great book. It’s definitely a different series.
If you are watching it, what do think.
David Tennant is great as a crazy character.

Read the book *lots* of times and...

I enjoyed it. Mostly.
Some of the secondary character acting was borderline pants and I don't think they managed to get across how much "them" were more than good friends.

There was also two things in particular that were cut that was really disappointing.

The radio interactions showing strange events in the Tadfield area and how matter of fact people deal with them.
No alternative four horsemen. Which also means no setup/context for one of the best jokes in the book, Elvis being alive, and no "Really cool people" or "people covered in fish".

Edited at 06:11 PM. Reason: Add spoiler

Oo I didn't know it was a book! Will have to get that. I tried to start watching last night but kept falling asleep, so trying again tomorrow on box set Sunday! I love both Michael Sheen and David Tennant, and its just my sort of thing too!

I watched the first one last night and really enjoyed it. I haven't quite finished the book yet so won't be binge watching as I'd like to finish the book first.

Love the book. Hope it comes to ‘proper telly’ or DVD soon.

Anyone remember the BBC adaptation of ‘Neverwhere’?

Both Neverwhere and Good Omens have been adapted on the radio recently too - well worth a listen.

Good Omens is my most read book and when I got rid of all my books last year, I grabbed that one as it was about to leave my house.
I watched episode 1 befoe the football and really enjoyed it.
Now I'm about to watch episode 2.
