Mobile Question for anyone who lives in London on a permit holders only street

I'm visiting a friend in a couple of weeks who lives in London but their street is parking for permit holders only.
Am I allowed to park there if I have a blue badge? Or do I need to obtain some kind of permit myself for that week?

You need to contact the relevant borough that your friend lives in. They will supply you with all the details especially about the Blue Badge situation.

In Harrow where we live the resident (your friend) would have to purchase on your behalf.

I have a blue badge. It states in the little booklet that I cannot use it if
A. I am causing an obstruction
B. In a loading bay
C. In an area designated for resident parking.

So it would appear not.

When we visit relatives in Blackpool they always give us a badge to display which they get from the local authority, it is for visitors, they have it renewed annually for a fee, and I believe that each household is limited to one.

You cannot use it in our street (Hounslow).

Where I live (Ealing) I don't have a car but I am entitled to a resident's permit. If someone is coming to stay I can book parking for them electronically on the Ringo system (presumably to avoid lovely Rita, for those of us of a certain age!)

I need the visitor's car number plate, make and colour. I can then pay for their parking (it is only about £7 for a whole week).

They can park anywhere in the zone. There is no physical pass - the wardens have the details on their system.
