Should I book? Or wait and book separately?

Hi there,

We went last year for the 1st time and I’ve managed to persuade hubby that we need to go back next year.
Due to work commitments we can’t go in August again so are planning to go Oct/nov
Last time I booked separately but for ease I’m thinking of booking with VH.
I received a quote today which includes ddp ( on request )
I have no clue if it’s a good price for our dates and with virgin and I’d be very grateful for any advice
18th Oct - 3rd Nov
Gtw- Mco
2 adults 1 child (10)
9 nights pofq
Includes memory maker, $200 gift card, upgraded dining to ddp
And 14 day Disney tickets
7 nights garden view hrh
V lounge ( the alcohol package )

£6990.81

Feel like I’m going to go mad over thinking it

Many thanks

We’re having the same dilemma. We’ve been quoted:

14 nights at POR for 2 adults with upgraded DDP
14 day ultimate ticket
Return flights from Manchester (2nd May - 16th May '19)
Memory Maker
(The $200 gift card won't be released until the 19th April but this will be automatically added on.)

Including the Virgin Flying Member discounts for us both

Cost = £4610.92

Been doing the sums and this is cheaper than booking with Disney then adding flights separate. Though with not knowing Disney’s actual offer, we don’t want to jump the gun lol

Hi, what discount did you get as Virgin flying club members? If you don't mind me asking.

This seems a very good price.

It’s around 7%. Though based on the 2 quotes I had, done the maths and it came out to 6%

If you call them you can ask for a "save my spot" quote. If youre happy with it you can pay a deposit and on 19th April they will conform if they can secure the room for you (that's the official Disney release day). If they can't, you can either pay the difference to book the room they can secure, or cancel and have a refund of your deposit.

What’s the point in booking now then? There isn’t one, it’s a travel agent carrot that’s all. Nothing to lose by waiting.

Except some people are getting very good quotes for a package with direct flights. I don't blame them for putting a deposit down and I hope that Virgin can secure the room they've quoted for on 19th April.
