Bob Chapek Introducing gambling to Disney

Can Bob as Disney CEO destroy Disney any more for pure profit?

First we get Disney Genie and now his latest idea is to introduce gambling to Disney via ESPN as he claims its what the younger audience wants. I mean really- encouraging the younger generation to gamble under the Disney banner just to create more profit. Can you imagine what Walt would have thought of this. So much for a family environment. Sooner Disney get rid of Bob Chapek the better. His leadership has led to the global closure of almost all Disney stores in addition to the profiteering Genie pay as you go move in the parks adding significant cost to most families visiting. I thought this year he’d hit rock bottom having to cancel his appearance at D23 thanks to his lack of support from shareholders and fans but now the idea is to turn Disney into a gambling establishment as well. Very poor leadership.

The story and headline are misleading.

WDWNT really have a problem with the CEO, misleading their viewers to drive traffic to themselves?

I would say there's a huge amount of people who don't even realise Disney own ESPN. They are a completely different market. Introducing sports betting under ESPN was only natural to align with the competition within that market.

It's not like you're going to see slot machines lining Main Street.

I lay odds of 20 to 1 we never see slot machines on Main Street.

I lay further odds of evens that Bob Chapek is still CEO in 5 years time and is the Shareholders golden child.

I am getting a bit annoyed with WDNT - so negative. Don't really want that when looking at Disney stuff. That's my escape.

WDWNT is well known to be not
the most reliable of sources.

I doubt gambling will really enter wdw…Chapek would win some points back with me if he opened some form of bar similar to the one featured in the dusk till dawn movie. Perhaps it could be called Tigger and titties. Only downside to that is I imagine you’d need an app to book a dance which would cost extra
