Would you let kids miss first few days off term to get cheaper flights
That's about it really. We can get much cheaper flights if we come back a few days after school starts in Sept and I'm in a quandry.
Both DD (going into yr 10) and DS (in 6th form) say that other kids do it and it won't be a problem but wondering what you think. They have 100% attendance and we've never done it before. It would be two days off for DD and four days for DS. Should I be open with the school or "phone in sick" from Florida. It's such a huge difference with flight prices. |

Hi,
I have closed this. Only the parent/Guardian of the child can make the decision as to whether their child should or should not be taken out of school. Whilst we do not specifically ban the topic of taking children out of school we do close threads where members are being asked 'IF children should be taken out of school'
