Those are great plates - wonder if anyone got WD15NEY - that would have been a cracker.

I had been after a specific plate since around 2006 - I missed it when DVLA auctioned it off as I had changed email addresses - and the email telling me about the auction was sent to the old address.

I posted on here in 2013 about the efforts I had made to try and find the owner - and that I was giving up. I had chatted to some colleagues about if when we were chatting about private numbers.

Earlier this year a colleague came to me and said I've seen your reg on an auction site - bit of haggling and I bought it that day - and am delighted with it - spells my weird (and very well known) nickname exactly.

Guess it shows never say never, and never give up!

Trust me there are some great ones for sale. Mind you the prices are £2K plus.
