Dcl room service question
I've read that room service is generally included in the price (apart from drinks/packaged snacks etc), however, you do need to pay gratuities.
Do these just get automatically added to your room account? Thanks |

No, room service tips are not added to your onboard bill. Cash to the person bringing the food is typical, although some people have been able to request a signature slip to which they write in an amount.

If you give cash to the person delivering, the money goes directly to them. If you sign the chitty with a tip, it is shared amongst everyone in the room service team.
We give cash .. normally $5 per delivery.

Agree with Bats. Tip the CM directly when they bring your order to your stateroom.

Also just to say, if you are not in the US itself then you could also tip in the local currency so for example on the Magic in the summer you could tip in Euros as thats what staff will be using off the ship anyway.

Thanks, this is really helpful as we were dithering over whether to get any dollars in cash as opposed to on FairFx. Think we will get some in case we have room service.
I know you can use Euros (we are on Med cruise) but the cruise after ours is the WBTA so the CMs might not have a chance to spend Euros.

That is very true and I'm avoiding using Euros for that reason too (although I'm on that one ) There are 3 european ports on that route though as well so they might get a chance at those if its an issue?
