I don't believe that the OP meant this as a sexist post. No need for people jumping down their throat on that. I read it as concern for safety.

Our current delivery driver is young and female.
Never even gave it a thought to be honest, though thinking now, the Tesco scheduling does set them up for "stalkers" whether male or female, young or old. Ours is the same woman every week. |

Absolutely I’m sure that’s the ops intention, but the cause for the post comes from her concern that the delivery driver was a young female who was delivering late.
Has your delivery usually been a man ? As if so then the post is making a judgment on the sex of the delivery driver, albeit out of concern. Edited at 06:43 PM. |

That's exactly how I took it, I wouldn't feel comfortable my daughter a similar age delivering groceries so late at night, but then again a lot of places around me are like a ghetto, when we have had evening deliveries often we have two drivers together especially in winter darker nights

Depends on the area, surely - most pizza delivery people are younger than that.
If the area is not safe then surely they would go in pairs?

Your last sentence is pretty twisted. And simply wrong.
You don't need to read things into what people post or suggest incorrect motivations. Edited at 07:04 PM. |
