If you are stuck on a Saturday then planning is the key. With a 9yo fatigue will be an issue as the key rides for a 9yo will be busy during the middle of the day.

You dont say travel arrangements. For a saturday with youngsters normally i would say go for the very first opening and do peter pan, dumbo before the queues get silly. Avoid smaller queue items such as small world, carousel, tea cups as these move quite quickly and can be done at other times. Have a hotel break after lunch for an hour or two and go back for the last few hours. Alternatively have a snack and a sleep in "having a senior moment and cant rememeber name of big auditorium in discovery land".
since there are no fireworks you can hoover up the last rides in the evening before closing. If you go when the lion king show is on, think about doing rides when the show is queuing (if you dont want to queue for the show)

no free fastpasses will hit regular people hard no buzz skip, no peter pan skip, no star tours skip, no btm skip. Then again WDW also have no free fast passes now...

I was watching a vlog the other day and they reckon premiere pass is actually (atm) working pretty well as not many are using it so the normal queue goes down quicker as they don’t have to stop it to let in the fast pass queue.

As you have a 9-year old boy I would assume Fantasyland is not a priority. Much as I love it myself, he might not!

I would prioritise Big Thunder as the hardest to get on.

Space Mountain is often surprisingly quiet.

Download the app, keep checking ride times.

Also maybe bring some snacks and bottles of water to save money and queuing time.

It wasn’t too much of a rush but we did have a plan of what we wanted to go on. We started in Studios at opening time and moved over to the main park at 13:00 as it was open until 21:00. We’d done everything we wanted by 19:00 so went to the village for supper and returned to the park for the fireworks at 21:00.

It may be more of a challenge on a Saturday.

I think Disneyland Park may close by 7pm in November so worth eating afterwards in the Village.
