If there is a Boots at the airport I believe you can order online and collect airside. The liquids don’t have to go through security with you so no restrictions on sizes but it does mean you have to carry them around with you on your journey.
I have bought a few sets of the plastic bottles from Primark to decant sun tan lotion and just enough toiletries to last until we go shopping. You can fit about 9 bottles in an airport plastic bag.

We would take a case each and some of my stuff would be in everyone else’s case. No matter how hard I try I just can’t pack light

We booked a last-minute week in Florida for the Feb half-term just gone, and we just took a cabin bag each. I'll take a case in the hold for our three weeks in the Summer, but I'm not sure why anyone would *need* a hold case for a week in the sun.

I must be in the minority. Absolutely hate hand baggage only fares. Did one to Ireland and had to ditch my double edge safely razor blades at home. Was hoping they’d offer to put our cabin cases in the hold at check in rather than us lug them around.

Also some airlines don’t enforce the rules which results in people taking large suitcases on board.

We manage fine with just a hand luggage case for each of us for a week. We still brought back some clean clothes!

I’m another who couldn’t just manage on hand luggage. We take a case each, for 3 adults, but don’t put everything for one person in a case but share it out in case we lost a case. I then Marie Kondo fold the clothes into packing cubes, and pack toiletries and shoes etc between the cubes.

Our cases are never full going out so we have a few kilos spare for anything we buy.

We have only booked two 23kg cases between the three of us for our flights with Jet2 to Split in June, but I’m already wondering whether I should add another on

For 9 nights in Spain just last week we took one hold case and 4 hand luggage cases for 2 adults and 2 kids. We just about managed with this but the just about was only because we needed jeans and jumpers due to the changeable weather at this time of year.

We are a cruise booked for the summer and have a 20kg case each but we wont take 4... 3 cases max.

A case each here. I can't/won't pack light and neither will dd. Part of my holiday is having a nice outfit to wear each day... with shoes to match.

None, I travel with Ryanair, pay priority which gives me 2 items of hand luggage and we always manage to go skiing with just that. Since charges were introduced for hold luggage, I have stopped bringing larger pieces.

Apart from the charges, I also loathe having to Q to check in hold luggage.
