Some things do need booking like the Neon Museum for example, Each tour only has something like 10 people.. they turned people away when we went, but some of our best days have been just wandering around and doing whatever we come across.

Some things are a bit rubbish though, the Shark Reef I'd never pay for .. fine for free but that's about it. Secret Garden we did pay once the rest have been free its nice enough but not a lot there.

The Mirage Volcano is timed, so if you want to see that it goes off at 8pm &9pm Sunday-Thursday, . Friday and Saturday its 8pm,9pm & 10pm.

Some hotels have more than others to see.. Venetian, Bellagio,Wynn, Caesars, NYNY have more to see than say Ballys, Harrahs, Treasure Island.

How many days do you have in Vegas?
Hi daytonababe,

We are only there 2 nights.

Thanks

We have just returned from Vegas, and spent quite a bit of time wandering around the hotels - some were spectacular.

We also had a visit to the Hoover Dam (just over an hour's drive) and we took the power hall and dam tour, and then had a full day's visit to the Grand Canyon South by plane - expensive but worth it for the stunning views.

it took us 40 mins (without being distracted much) to walk from caesars palace reception to the cheesecake factory - its huge

i wasn't pushed on the bellagio - was to afraid to go in somewhere for a drink incase we couldn't afford it

never made it to the shopping center or freemont street so def on our hit list this time. the zip line in the Rio was shut when we were there that evening

we averaged 30000 steps per day.
my favourite would be the mirage and def need to see secret garden this time. saw a cirque show but i wasn't that amazed by it - no acts in it that i have not seen in a conventional circus just choreographed with more lights and music

Been twice in the last year and didn't plan a thing. For me that's the best part of Vegas.

I think for 2 nights thats the way to go as well... but just remember it takes longer than you think to walk between the hotels... and count a bit of time getting lost in the casinos if you are anything like me
