Taking light saber home to UK.
Hello,
Has anyone managed to take a light saber home from galaxy edge back to the UK? Did you manage to take in on the flight etc / have a place to store it |

I have seen quite a few being brought home on BA and Virgin planes. They fit in to the overhead lockers or if you ask the flight attendants they can store it in an onboard cupboard.
Also seen them being placed on the floor at the side of the window seats.

No prob taking on virgin. Removed hilt - put in carry on and put blade in overhead locker. At security was told how to put on conveyor to avoid any damage. Everyone from security to cabin crew so used to these going on flights now!

I took mine on complete (didn't need to remove the hilt) and stored it in the overhead, but made sure I placed it right at the back not to inconvenience anyone else who maybe using the same overhead

Our DDs fitted in our suitcase with the hilt off. On the BA 777s you do need to remove the hilt to get the blade to fit in the overhead lockers.

We were behind some folk with a light saber getting off the Manchester flight in Manchester then onto a flybe connection flight to Edinburgh
When going through security for the connection they were told they couldn't take it on the flybe flight and were told to exit and go to the check in desk to check it in. They weren't pleased to say the least! So maybe something to bear in mind if your trip includes a connection Edited at 01:01 PM. |

Mine fitted into my large Tripp case diagonally. Remove the hilt and left the blade int he carry case, and folded the top of the carry case down.

Cannot see a problem. I bought some motorbike exhausts over there a few years back. Carried them on as hand luggage.
The guy on the security x ray scanner said it was a first for him. |
