Recommend me some budget restaurants
We’re going without a meal plan for the first time, and looking to do DLP as cheaply as possible. We’re taking our camping fridge and our own bits and pieces for breakfast, but want to pay around €100 for afternoon / evenings meals (for 2 adults and 2 children, so we’re looking at the €30-€40 adult meals.) We always prefer to take snacks and fill up on one big meal per day in DLP, rather than two smaller meals.
We love Restaurant des Stars, Agrabah, La Cantina and Plaza Gardens, so we’re going to pick a couple of those to do, then we need three more restaurants. We like Annette’s too, so might go there one day. Would you recommend La Grange at Billy Bob’s? DH doesn’t like lots of noise, so I don’t know if he’d like the atmosphere there. Is it noisy in there? Where else could we go for a filling meal? Is Rainforest Cafe good? Vapiano? Five Guys? Anywhere I haven’t thought of?

We love Rainforest Cafe! Vapiano looks nice and prices aren't too bad. Earl of Sandwich is good and also the Sports Bar does food which is reasonable. King Ludwigs is another good one, the burgers were so good from there!

I wouldn't call Rainforest Cafe budget, certainly the London one is very overpriced for what you get.
If you are nipping over to Val d'Europe there are lots of reasonably priced places to eat there.

No, we don’t want to eat too far away from the parks. When I say budget, I’m thinking of standard buffet prices, but only if we’re getting enough food to keep us going all day on top of a big breakfast and a few snacks.
Looking at the menu, Rainforest Cafe prices are fine, but it sounds like the food won’t fill us up? If the portions there are really small, we’ll go elsewhere. If necessary, we could just eat in buffets all week, and we definitely want to go back to our favourite buffets anyway. We just fancied spreading our wings and trying a few non-dining plan places that wouldn’t normally be options for us, so hopefully we can figure something out.

I would try King Ludwigs over Rainforest Cafe, Vapiano definitely sounds like its worth a try, and if you like a buffet, La Grange is a good choice (its separated from the main bar/band area at Billy Bobs so its not any noisier than any other restaurant).

I know it's not super budget but Bistro Chez Remy is well worth paying a bit extra for, just for one meal. We had 3 set meals last time and it wasn't too expensive. Portions were pretty a good size, the meals were all tasty and the atmosphere was great!
If you're looking for reasonably priced filling and tasty then I'd stick to the buffets. The one at Davy Crockett Ranch is worth a trip out. We have also eaten at Billy Bobs and really enjoyed the food and it wasn't too noisy. |

If he doesn’t like noise then he really won’t like Rainforest Cafe, you can’t hear yourself think .

La Grange sounds like it could be a good choice then, and we’ll add King Ludwig’s to the list of possibilities, thanks.
