St Augustine
Hi Guys
As October's trip is cancelled we are looking at maybe spreading our wings a bit and either doing a road trip or basing ourselves out of somewhere like St augustine and taking some trips out. We have been for a day trip but not sure what the locality is like for a longer stay? We are looking at 10 nights probably. We love the gulf Coast but fancy a bit of a change. Miami doesn't really appeal other than the architecture but I thought we could visit savanna if we are based up near St Augustine. Thanks |

We have stayed on Palm Coast a couple of times. Good base for St Augustine, Daytona, Jackonsville and surrounding area. Would recommend.

We’ve stayed in st Augustine - plenty to do, and nice. Savannah is worth a visit, and Amelia island is too (not a who,e lot there, but has a cute town, nice little cray golf, and nice restaurant on the seafront (salty pelican).

Found St Augustine disappointing to be honest. A long drive from the Davenport area and whilst it had some quirky shops, generally it was not all that impressive or gripping. Just my two penneth!

St Augustine is stunning and full of history, we’ve only ever stayed for 2 nights though.

We’ve stayed a boynton beach then travelled north for a few nights in st augustine. Good outlets! The palm coast overall is lovely and St Augustine quirky. Well worth a trip in my view.

We were to have our third three night trip St Augustine this August. Love it. Quirky, great bars and restaurants. And Cocktails at the Beachcomber on the Beach are the best.!

Thanks the Palm Coast is a possible area to stay in. I'd b interested to see how it compares to the Gulf Coast/ Sarasota area I am used to staying in.
What is it like for eateries? |

We love St Augustine. In fact we're travelling through there in May on our way south to Kissimmee (following a stay in Savannah, strangely enough!). One 'must do' for us is a visit to the present Mrs Grandee's favourite jewelry/gift store, Silver Feather. Roll on May
