30 Year's Of Joy and Laughter... May 2015 ... Day 5!
Trip Index
I don't seem to have many photo's from today, not sure why! We got up with the the alarm this morning to finish the packing. We said goodbye to the room before we taking the bags out to the car. All checked out by 7:15am so we had a small breakfast, the usual croissants etc. We then walked down through the village and hit the main park for EMH. Aaron and Tom were some of the first in the queue for Donald so they had some photos here, there wasn't a photopass photographer here which was a bit annoying as I could see them at every other character! We then walked down and rode buzz which was a walk on at this time. With Zurg destroyed we bought some mugs that we had from our last visit here but one of them had broken. I was happy to replace it and have a full set again I also bought a notebook and pen, we left our shopping there in the shop for now to save carrying it around for too long. Next up was a flight with dumbo which I enjoyed. We had some time spare as Peter Pan wasn't open again so rode it's a small world. We had enjoyed our final visit to fantasyland but it was now time to head out. We walked back around to buzz and had one more ride before collecting our bits from the shop. We took some pics and tried on the usual hats while we were in here, it wasn't until 5 minutes later while taking a photo of the castle that we realised that Aaron had nicked the ears that he was trying on haha! Tom ran back with him to return them to a CM! Aaron was so embarrassed hehe We got coffee and biscuits from the bakery, and a pink Mickey marshmallow for Aaron. Unfortunately it was time to say goodbye to disneyland park. Aaron was getting quite upset but the thought of a couple of hours in the studios soon cheered him up. It was 9:45 and the park was already open. While the masses turned right for crush and ratatouille we turned left and headed for RnR coaster which was open and a walk on. We came off and whilst it still had no queue we rode it again! Aaron was made up! Tom got a FP next for TOT as we walked down toward toy story land. We checked the queue times and decided to ride RC racer which had a 10 minute wait. We loved it once again and think that it is really under rated! We had one final look around the ratatouille area too We then sat and had some crisps and drinks before opting for the studio tram tour which we hadn't done yet. It was ok, a little cheesy but Aaron enjoyed the water and fire scenes! We now had 20 mins before we could use our FP so we got some coffee crisps and a lolly ice for Aaron and relaxed. It was FP time now and we were on really quickly today. It was as terrifying and enjoyable as always and we were so glad that this was last ride of the trip. It has always been Aaron's favourite and I think it always will be. Aaron was so sad to leave, as was I. I knew it would be a while before we were seeing Disney again and didn't want to say goodbye. We nipped to the loos on the way out and then to the village for our last EoS! Imagine our horror when it was shut to a private function! I thought tom was going to cry. The only other option at this point was McDonald's unfortunately. Tom was in there forever ordering the food. It took so long in fact that Aaron's week caught up with him and he promptly fell asleep on the floor in the sun! Someone actually came over to see if he was OK, they thought he'd had a fit or something from how he was lying! I assured him that if he indeed was ill then I certainly wouldn't be sat playing on my phone next to him It was reassuring that people will help if they feel they can though. It took tom around half an hour overall. We ate our food looking out at the lake and then walked back over to the sequoia and to the car. All set up with the sat nav and we started the drive back through France. It was a simple drive, I had a small nap but we mostly chatted and the time passed quickly enough. We made one quick stop for coffee and crisps about half way there. We got to the euro tunnel on time however it was obvious that it was too busy to get is boarded on time. The place was heaving! We must've been in the car for and hour and a half in total from arriving. We were issued a boarding time which was a an hour later than the one we had booked. It wasn't too much trouble though to be honest and we were just glad that it was on the return journey not the way out. They had tables set up offering tea, coffee and water to all waiting passengers. The journey over was smooth and we were soon making the short trip to Maidstone to our premier inn. This one was much nicer then the one we stayed in on the outward journey It was attached to a beefeater so we settled and tom watched the FA cup final and Aaron and I had baths before heading over to the pub. We had a drink at the bar before our table was ready. Our waitress was lovely and promptly brought me a bottle of wine Well it was the last night of our holiday! Tom had a few beers and we enjoyed our final holiday meal. £70 including the drinks and tip tonight and we were in bed full and happy by 11pm. The drive home. I was up at 8am today and Aaron and I passed an hour getting dressed and playing a game. Tom was up at 9 and we popped the case back to the car and headed over for breakfast. I'd pre-booked and paid for this, we all had hot food and some coffee and juice. We left at 10:30 and drove an hour of the journey before stopping off at the services for fuel. We got some drinks and a kids meal deal for Aaron from waitrose. We had 3 and a half hours left to drive which passed reasonably quickly, Aaron drew pictures of roller coasters to send to Disney as ideas We had a fantastic holiday. We really made the most of our family time together and the Disney Magic was strong! Thank you for reading! I wrote these last two days out ages ago but never got around to posting them! Our next journey was a Christmas visit to DLP just a few months later This was booked not too long after returning home! We had a magical time once again but there was something extra special about this trip in May See ya real soon

What a lovely time you had, and so glad Aaron enjoyed himself. Obviously he's shaping up to be an Imagineer when he grows up.
Thanks for writing.

What a fun trip you had, thank you for sharing it . I had to laugh at Aaron walking out with the ears on, it is so easy to forget something that is on your head when you can't see it yourself .
