Decent family restaurant near Heathrow
Friends of ours fly out from Heathrow the same day we fly out of Gatwick. We’re looking for somewhere decent to eat the night before. We’re a party of 4 adults 4 children and a preteen
Just wondered if anyone could recommend restaurants near Heathrow worth considering? Thanks in advance

I can't recommend any but remember you're only half an hour by tube from central London which would give you a lot more choice

Half of us have got to carry on driving to Gatwick after so will need to find something more local. Thanks for suggesting though
We’re happy to try anywhere decent but Burgers, pizza, Mexican or good pub grub would be fine

There's a local pub that's usually recommended. It's maybe the Pheasant or the Partridge?
I have never been btw so have no experience of it but it's been mentioned many times. I'll see if I can find a thread that mentions it pheasant-restaurant.../starters.html I'm guessing this is the place Edited at 06:32 PM. |

The pheasant is a lovely restaurant I'm local to Heathrow and would recommend it. Make sure you book a table as it can get busy. The last time we didn't book and tried to go in the pub to eat we couldn't because kids weren't allowed! Enjoy 😊

There's a fair bit of choice at Two Rivers in Staines which is a cinema/shopping place a few minutes off the M25 one junction south of the Heathrow T5 junction (so in the direction of Gatwick). There's a Nandos, Pizza Hut, Indian, Frankie and Bennys, Harvester etc. Parking in the middle of all these but may be full at busy shopping times.
If you can make it as far as Eton (next to Windsor) there's a fabulous little burger place called Flaming Cow on Windsor bridge, worth a detour

I would agree the Pheasant is a good choice also and they have space for parking or if your friends are staying nearby it is walking distance from the Bath road. But do book.
